Colorado can do better with a balanced approach in the Legislature

By Dave Woolever

I am running for state Representative because I know that we can do better.  Increasing crime is a very real problem, groceries are more and more expensive, and it costs more for us to fill our gas tank.  As Coloradans, we don’t need to accept higher crime and more expensive groceries and gas.  We need to change.  I learned about service as an airman in the United States Air Force and I am running to be a part of that positive change.

We have seen the negative consequences of one-party rule in our state over the past four years, and it is time we bring common sense and balance to the General Assembly.  Unchecked crime and run-away prices at the gas pump and grocery store make it difficult for hard working Coloradans to live the American Dream.

I will work to ensure that we support our local law enforcement and that these men and women have the resources necessary to do their jobs keeping our community safe.

I want to reduce burdensome taxes and fees and fight for small businesses allowing entrepreneurship to flourish in our district to create new jobs and strengthen our economy.

As a teacher, I know the importance of encouraging and having parents involved in the education of their children. I will work to protect parents’ rights by pressing for academic transparency and classroom funding.

Finally, it’s time we address water resources in our state to prevent a potential water crisis.  We need creative and innovative solutions to protect Colorado water ensuring our growth and sustainability.

I am running because I want to serve my neighbors and my community. It’s that simple. I’m running to bring a balanced, common-sense approach to the legislative process.  I’m asking for your support as we work together to make HD61, and all of Colorado, an amazing place for everyone to live!
