Former Republican Secretary of State Wayne Williams has decided to star in a reelection ad for Jena Griswold’s reelection campaign.
The ad is a taxpayer funded effort coming from Griswold in her “official” capacity as Secretary of State, and not technically a campaign ad, but you get the point.
As of Friday, Griswold’s office had not responded to questions from liberal media activist Kyle Clark about the cost of the ad campaign.
Curiously, former Republican Secretary of State Wayne Williams decided to star alongside Griswold in this taxpayer funded campaign ad.
As far as we know, Williams is still a registered Republican, but we will be reaching out to him today for more information on why he chose to star in this ad for Griswold.
In the ad, Williams echoes liberal Democrat talking points by ambiguously saying he has concerns over “election disinformation” and that it’s “designed to look real so always use trusted sources.”
SCRIPT OF GRISWOLD REELECTION AD STARRING WAYNE WILLIAMS:
Williams gives no further information on what exactly he means by “election disinformation.”
Griswold: Hi, I’m Democratic Secretary of State Jena Griswold.
Williams: And I’m Wayne Williams, Republican, and former Secretary of State. One thing we both know is that Colorado’s elections are safe and secure.
Griswold: That’s right Wayne, but voters should be alert to election disinformation.
Williams: Election disinformation is designed to look real so always use trusted sources.
Griswold: Together, we can combat election disinformation. To get the facts about election security visit GoVoteColorado.gov. Let’s go vote Colorado.
