Former “Republican” Secretary of State Wayne Williams, and current candidate for Mayor of Colorado Springs, isn’t quite ready to end his taxpayer-fund self-promotion tour just yet.
In an interview with KRDO News in Colorado Springs, Williams says he doesn’t think the ad he stars in with Jena Griswold should run “close to the election.”
But instead of joining Republican candidate for Pam Anderson and asking for Griswold to immediately pull the ad, he says he’s asked to “not run within 30 days of when ballots actually go out” and that Griswold has apparently agreed to that.
Why wouldn’t Williams just end his public embarrassment and call for an immediate end to the ad?
Wayne Williams just can’t quit that sweet, sweet taxpayer-funded self-promotion. That’s why.
In fact, it was less than 24 hours prior to this interview that Williams was telling the mainstream media an entirely different story. According to Williams, he was a hero for starring Griswold’s reelection ad.
What new embarrassing twist will this story bring to us 24 hours from now? Stay tuned!
