The Colorado Springs Democratic Socialists of America “performed a eulogy to democracy” at Senator Michael Bennet’s office in Colorado Springs yesterday according to reporting from the Gazette.
The radical Socialists claimed to be performing some type of funeral for democracy while protesting against Bennet, but they might as well have been performing a funeral for Sen. Bennet’s chances in November.
If you haven’t been paying attention, it’s been a very rough week for Sen. Bennet and his relationship with voters he will need in November.
An Associated Press report last week noted in a similar story that Sen. Bennet’s own volunteers from his 2016 campaign are jumping ship on his campaign:
Now, only a few days later, we have yesterday’s events reinforcing the idea that the floor is falling out from underneath Sen. Bennet’s candidacy on his left.
“(Democrats) have the house, they supposedly have the senate and they have the presidency and what do we have to show for it? Nothing,” one of the socialist co-chairs of yesterday’s event, Joe Mangels, told the Gazette.
With friends like these, Coloradans will be performing a eulogy to Sen. Bennet’s campaign on election night in November.
