Denver Botanic Gardens Hosting “Drag Queen Story Time” for Children

Denver Botanic Gardens will be hosting a “Drag Queen Story Time” on Saturday, June 18th for children, according to a post on their website. 

The event description posted as of this morning says:

“Dress up as your favorite pollinator and join us for a very special story time in honor of Pride and Pollinator Month. Drag Queen Story Time, with our wonderful host, Paula Nader, will take place in Classroom 1. Story time will be followed by a runway show, where you can fly, flutter and flaunt your pollinator persona to celebrate the wonderful diversity of the pollinator population and the wonderful diversity of people, too!”

Campfire Colorado reached out to the Denver Botanic Gardens this morning for more detail on the event and we were told by their spokesperson that they would not be commenting on the event.

We asked the spokesperson twice what age group the event was intended to serve and were told both times that Denver Botanic Gardens would not be commenting on the event.
