Democrat Adam Frisch faces calls to drop out of congressional race amid blackmail allegations

By Matt Connelly

Adam Frisch is facing calls to drop out of the race in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District amid allegations that he was blackmailed into changing his vote on an issue before the Aspen City Council.

A bombshell story from Breitbart News details the allegations that Frisch was blackmailed with surveillance tape that allegedly showed him having an affair at a storage facility in Aspen:

A man who owned a taxi service and storage facility in Aspen, Colorado, has claimed on video tape to the Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) campaign and in a separate exclusive interview with Breitbart News he allegedly blackmailed high profile congressional candidate Democrat Adam Frisch with surveillance footage of him showing up to a storage unit facility where, according to the business owner, Frisch was caught allegedly having an affair.

The wild story stands out even in this crazy election cycle. Democrat congressional hopeful—Frisch (pictured) is currently challenging Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) in the upcoming November midterm election—has yet to respond to the allegations when Breitbart News asked his campaign about them.

Now, Frisch is facing a torrent of criticism from his opponent Representative Lauren Boebert and calls from prominent Republican officials to drop out of the race.

In a tweet on Thursday, Colorado Republican Party Chairwoman Kristi Burton Brown called on Frisch to drop out:

In a statement sent out to the press, Burton Brown upped the ante by calling on Democrat State Party Chairwoman Morgan Carroll to join her in calling on Frisch to drop out:

“Today, I’m calling on Adam Frisch, commonly known as ‘Aspen Adam’, to do the honorable thing and withdraw from this Congressional race. Any elected official who has made themselves subject to blackmail can’t be an effective representative for Colorado families. While many things within this story are disturbing, it’s clear to most that Adam does not have the temperament, the morals, the backbone, or the judgement needed to be a successful elected official. We need elected officials who are working for Colorado families, not trying to protect themselves from criminal positions they put themselves in.

“I hope Colorado Democrat Chairwoman Morgan Carroll will join me in doing the right thing and publicly call on Mr. Frisch to withdraw from this race.”

Representative Lauren Boebert hit Frisch hard in a tweet going after him for allegedly allowing his vote to be influenced by blackmail:

Frisch has not responded to the media on the allegations and Colorado Democrat Party Chair Morgan Carroll remains silent on calls for Frisch to drop out of his race against Rep. Lauren Boebert.
