Complaint Filed Against Colorado Democrat Secretary of State for Reelection Ad Funded By $1 Million in Taxpayer Dollars

By Matt Connelly

Public Trust Institute filed a legal complaint against Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold yesterday for her new taxpayer-funded television ad starring former Republican Secretary of State Wayne Williams

Suzanne Staiert, attorney for Public Trust Institute, told Campfire Colorado, “At a time when the counties are struggling to pay for election security, Griswold is again illegally spending state dollars to promote herself. This is why we need to elect a Secretary of State that is a professional interested in actually doing the job.”

According to liberal media activist Kyle Clark, the ad is backed by $1,099,999 in taxpayer dollars from the Help America Vote Act.
