Colorado’s Democratic Governor Jared Polis says he will continue to boycott Budweiser

By Matt Connelly

Colorado’s Democratic Governor Jared Polis announced on Twitter today that he will continue his boycott of Budweiser…but not for the reason you might think.

Polis isn’t upset about Budweiser’s recent controversial move to partner with Dylan Mulvaney, he’s actually upset about Anheuser-Busch’s CEO disavowing the Dylan Mulvaney partnership.

According to Polis, he has been boycotting Budweiser his “entire life” for some unknown reason and that boycott will remain in place. Proving once and for all that Budweiser’s ad campaign featuring Mulvaney has managed to somehow unite all sides of the political spectrum against their brand.

While Budweiser sales continue to plummet, they can take some solace in the fact that, at least in the case of Polis,  he only drinks a half a beer “every month or so.”
