Colorado Springs mayoral candidate Sallie Clark has launched a new campaign ad promising to ban TikTok for all city employees.

Sources tell Campfire Colorado the new ad is running on digital platforms in the Colorado Springs media market ahead of the April 4th mayoral election.

The federal government, states, and cities across the country have banned TikTok from government devices citing cybersecurity threats from the communist Chinese spy app.

In Colorado, Governor Jared Polis has refused to ban TikTok despite calls from Republican legislators and bipartisan agreement on the issue from prominent Democrats like Colorado Senator Michael Bennet.
