Colorado GOP Torches Bennet as “Fraud” for One-Day Fishing License Embarrassment

By Matt Connelly

The Colorado GOP is slamming Senator Michael Bennet for purchasing a one-day fishing license to shoot a fake campaign ad and “trying to remake his image into that of an outdoorsman, not an East Coast, career politician.”

Earlier today, Campfire Colorado lit Twitter on fire with a story noting Senator Bennet had bought a one-day fishing license to film a fake campaign ad:

Minutes ago, the Colorado GOP’s Executive Director – and avid outdoorsman – Joe Jackson absolutely torched Senator Michael Bennet in a press release for being a total fraud.

“Senator Bennet is a fraud. Bennet isn’t a fly fisherman, he isn’t an outdoorsman, he only pretends to be one for his campaign commercials every 6 years,” said Jackson. “Coloradans take the outdoors seriously and it’s clear that Bennet is more comfortable hobnobbing with East Coast billionaires than he is in the Colorado outdoors. Purchasing a 1-day fishing license for a campaign shoot to trick voters is amateur hour.”
