Steven Monahan is running for Congress in Colorado’s Sixth Congressional District and he feels the need, the need for…a Top Gun spoof.
Monahan served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. First as an enlisted sailor, then he went on to graduate from Officer Candidate School, then earned his Wings of Gold, becoming a Naval Aviator.
According to his campaign, the video will be released as a digital advertisement. Here’s more details from Team Monahan:
In the ad, Steven can be seen riding a motorcycle and even includes drone footage. While riding the motorcycle, Steven is heard saying “I am here at the request of Coloradans wanting to get back to normal.”
Regarding getting back to normal, Monahan says, “Democrats have been heard touting the ‘New Normal.’ I want my kids’ schools, my neighborhood, and my neighbors to get back to a normal that isn’t constantly upended with each new woke opinion that comes from the Left. Even worse, it comes with the suggestion that if you don’t agree with them, you are somehow completely insensitive or filled with toxic masculinity.
“Right now, inflation is at an all-time high. Prices on everyday household goods are rising right alongside the price of gas needed to fuel our cars. These issues are causing very real concern in my district. I just don’t believe that we currently have the leadership in Washington D.C. that is needed to fix these problems. Residents of CD-06 didn’t elect Nancy Pelosi or AOC, but that’s what they’re getting.
“I recognize that to defeat an incumbent will not be easy, but you don’t go from an enlisted Sailor, to a Naval Officer, to a Naval Aviator without a tremendous amount of hard work. Running to defeat Crow is my full-time job.”
Through his first campaign advertisement, the Steven Monahan campaign has introduced two of the campaign’s hashtags that will be used now through November, #SayNoToCrow and #JasonCrowHasGotToGo.
