A liberal U.S. Senator from Colorado blamed Republicans for busing illegal immigrants to Denver from the southern border. He made it all up.

Senator John Hickenlooper’s first reaction to an influx of illegal immigrants being bused to Denver from the southern border was to blame it on Republicans.

The eagle-eyed team at Colorado Peak Politics noted in a recent blog post that Hickenlooper, “first blamed Republicans for the first reported arrival of migrants in Denver, before welcoming them and encouraging even more to join them.”

Except, that’s not true. He made it all up.

According to a report in Rocky Mountain PBS, “the mayor’s chief of staff said their arrival does not appear to have been organized by another state’s government, as we saw earlier this year in places like Martha’s Vineyard.”

The PEOPLE of Colorado would be better served by Hickenlooper if he would spend his time trying to solve the crisis at the southern border instead of firing off incorrect tweets based on zero information.
