Yesterday, on National Tax Day, the Republican National Committee published a few “invoices” Democratic representatives and senators will be paying in November.
Well, perhaps not paying the traditional way – with votes instead of dollars.
In Colorado, Alex Kuehler, the RNC’s Western Communication Director, posted this:
This invoice is addressed to Sen. Michael Bennet for “Revenue lost as a result of Michael Bennet enabling Joe Biden’s reckless economic agenda and relentlessly lauding Joe Biden even as Coloradans lose a substantial amount of their income per month thanks to Bidenflation.”
It requires a payment of $433/month or $1,299 in total to “The People of Colorado.”
Unfortunately, this isn’t just an Election Year game. Families across the nation are paying significantly more due to inflation, with families in the Mountain West paying more than the national average. Recent analysis found that the average household in Colorado is paying $724 more per a month due to inflation – a total of $8,686 per a year. The invoice that requires $433/month is really a discounted price!
Other congressmen across the nation have also received these invoices.
The Texas GOP posted these requiring the Texas Democratic Party, Beto O’Rourke (or “Robert Francis O’Rourke,” as is written on the invoice), Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, Rep. Henry Cuellar, Rep. Lizzie Fletcher, and Rep. Colin Allred.
In Arizona, the RNC sent them to Sen. Mark Kelly, Katie Hobbs, candidate for governor of Arizona, Rep. Tom O’Halleran, Rep. Greg Stanton, and Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick.
