Economist and Congressional District 7 candidate Tim Reichert won a straw poll last night at the Mountain Republican Club and 285 Tea Party’s debate in Evergreen.
According to the campaign, Reichert came out on top with 56 votes, compared to 48 for Erik Aadland, 18 for Carl Anderson, 2 for Laurel Imer, and 0 for Brad Dempsey.
“We have been traveling this district every single day to talk with voters and explain what I will do on day one in Congress and it is clear that message is resonating with voters,” said Reichert in a release provided by the campaign.
“What our country faces today with rising gas prices and inflation is similar to the crisis we faced in the 1970s when I was growing up. That experience focused me to be the first member of my family to attend college, eventually receiving my doctorate in economics. I have studied the economy my entire life and I know what it will take to get our country and our middle class back on their feet. When elected, I will walk into Congress with a plan to restore our middle class. The American Middle Class Restoration Plan will give economic and political power back to the people who made our country so great. I appreciate the support from everyone at last night’s event in Evergreen and I look forward to meeting more voters and earning their support.”
